The poem roughly translates to: an unfortunate ewe took a walk in a field/ the mean wolf said Madam, good evening, I am charmed to see you/ while trying to end their encounter, the wolf dove a knife into her breast/ but justice protects the victims and arrests the villans/ now the wolf lost his freedom for his sacriligous act.
